Portrait of Clifton Taulbert at a lectern

Mr. Taulbert is best known for his touching account about growing up in the segregated Mississippi Delta as well as for his lectures and programs throughout the world.

Mr. Taulbert will discuss his Ice House Entrepreneurship program that is currently being facilitated at the Mississippi State Penitentiary at Parchman. He will lay out eight basic principles he learned from living in the segregated Delta: a nurturing attitude, dependability, responsibility, friendship, brotherhood, high expectations, courage, and hope and explain how those principles can be utilized today to help transform and reform relationships, families and communities everywhere.
