Katherine Norris

Graduate Assistant

Katherine Norris is a research assistant passionate about understanding the intersections of juvenile justice, race and crime, and virtual deviancy. Ms. Norris earned her Bachelor’s degree in Criminology from Mississippi State University and is pursuing a Master’s degree in Criminal Justice and Legal Studies from the University of Mississippi. During her academic career, she has been involved in several research projects exploring the impacts of legal policy and decision-making on plea bargains and the effects of virtual deviancy on young people’s behavior and attitudes toward crime. 

 

As a research assistant, she has assisted with data collection, analysis, and report writing for various research studies. She has also presented research findings at conferences. Her ultimate goal is to use her research to influence policy and go into federal law enforcement.
